‘Lack of Basic Facilities in Schools’
Updated: Oct 12, 2022
Q: How are you going to measure what students have learned online during the lockdown?
Teacher: The government has decided that the students will be promoted to the next class. However, for the initial three months, they will be taught the curriculum of their previous class. Additional activities are being organised for academically weaker students.
Q: Are the schools in your Block equipped with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure? Is there a plan to equip them?
Teacher: No, there are very few schools in my Block that have the facility of computers and internet. It is still a long wait for ICT infrastructure. There is a lack of basic facilities in schools like toilets, potable water, desks for students.
