Q: What is the process of distributing food to households?

Public Distribution System (PDS) Shop Owner: During the lockdown, we used to go to the villages to distribute ration. Now people have started coming to the shop to collect their ration. We give ration after verifying their fingerprints.

Q: How do you ensure physical distancing outside your shop?

PDS Shop owner: Circles drawn in front of the shop so that people are distant to each other when they are standing in the queue. People are instructed to wear masks, and we also keep a sanitiser in the shop.

Q: Is anything else offered to beneficiaries apart from grains?

PDS Shop owner: Currently, we are only giving wheat and chickpea lentils to people.
