‘We Have Not Received Ration Since February’

Q: From the beginning of this year, have you been receiving Anganwadi services regularly?

Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Beneficiary: Yes, services are being provided regularly. Last month, my three-year-old got his routine vaccines. I am also in touch with the ASHA worker regularly via phone.

However, we have not received ration since February. We were told that the ration stock had not come since February.

Q: Have you been informed about your COVID-19 vaccination?

ICDS Beneficiary: Yes, the ASHA worker had called us on the phone to inform us that, since there is a child at home, we should all get vaccinated to be safe. In my house, everyone who is more than 45 years old has been vaccinated. I have not been vaccinated yet.

Q: During the second wave, did you require any urgent medical attention?

ICDS Beneficiary: Not really. Once, my child was not well, and I had to take him to the doctor to get medicines.

However, the people who did not have their own vehicle must have faced a hard time because no public transport was available then.
